Day 5 & 6: We took the bus from the otogar to Pamukkale. We had to change midway since they don't have direct buses during the day. We reached late night and went straight to bed. We stayed at Venus Hotel.
Next morning we booked a trip to Aphrodisias. It is less crowded than Ephesus so you can marvel at the beautiful carvings in peace, then cool off at the end in the museum.
We got back to the hotel post-lunch. It was pretty hot outside so we decided against venturing out in the day. Around 5 we started walking towards the Pamukkale travertines. It was still very warm and the short walk was taxing in the heat. But the moment we stepped into the water, all our fatigue wore off. The site is open 24 hours but the museum, pool area, and coffee shop close by 6-ish. Hierapolis is also a nice site to walk around in. Not as glorious as other historical ruins, but still pleasant.
